Children's department

The building of the pediatric ward is well on its way and we hope it will be finished by September 2015.

The idea of course is to have a 24 bed children's facility but we also want to count in the care for children with handicaps. Regularly, during our mobile clinics, we run into cases of children with spastic limbs or neglect due to braindamage in their early childhood caused by lack of oxygen during the birth process or through infectious diseases.

We hope to dedicate at least one third of the ward (one complete building) to this cause. Occupational Therapy and Neuro-psychology are services that we hope to start with as soon as the pediatric ward is built.

As we are focusing mainly on primary school kids during our mobile clinics, it is kind of logic to be able to open the children's ward soon as it will allow us to better follow up on the serious cases we run into.
