The international Youth Group WIRED from Ouagadougou in ACTION

This saturday, a group of 40 youth from the expat community in Ouagadougou is coming to help jumpstart the building of the new Paam Laafi Children's Community Center. The WIRED youth group has not only fundraised the money to help build the first meeting center for the poor children in of the Niong Warbin area. They are coming out this saturday to get their hands dirty to help the building team! This "paillotte" type overhang will provide a meeting plays and study center for the boys and girls from one of the poorest areas in the suburbs of Ouagadougou.

There are moments in life when dreams come true. This is true for our Paam Laafi team and Roma. Just a few days after his birth, Roma developed a meningitis which left him with a serious visual impairment, lack of coordination and neglect on the left side of his body. Although very intelligent, Roma could never go to a normal school, since he also had regular epileptic-like crises. Encouraged by our partner Go to Nations' national director Joel Hayslip, we decided to dedicate an important portion of the Paam Laafi Pediatric Clinic to give these children hope and a way out from their impairing

The long awaited aerial foto from Google Earth

Just a few days ago, Google Earth updated there aerial pictures of Burkina Faso, including the area of our Paam Laafi "Health for All" Campus. As some of you know, during the summer of 2014, two interns, Mirjam Schotanus and Victor Baart, worked for two weeks diligently with our team to plot out the internal roads of the hospital site. Just a month ago, a friendly neighbor borrowed his bulldozer to clear these roads out and today we can see the result from the sky...
